CARA CEPAT BELAJAR STRUKTUR BAHASA INGGRIS

Untuk teman-teman yang ingin  menambah sedikit improvment dalam menjawab soal BAHASA  INGGRIS khususnya terkait soal struktur, mungkin beberapa soal berikut akan mampu membantu dan menambah skill dalam menjawab model soal yang biasanya diujikan dalam beberapa seleksi yang dilakukan oleh pihak yang berkepentingan dalam melakukan seleksi kemampuan anda terkait dengan 'struktur' bahasa inggris..

Nah silahkan dicoba deh melakukan /menguji kemampuan anda dengan indikoator soal tersebut, meskipun keliahatan pemula, ada baiknya anda mencoba.. kali aja model berikut (yg saya dapat dari seorang teman) dapat menguji sekaligus memberikan manfaat/pengetahuan baru buat anda...

“married couples” itu adalah subjek, jadi yg dibutuhkan sesudah subject kan verb (kata kerja). Jawaban : D “made up”. Tense nya kan past tense, lihat aja “showed” dan “had children underoof”

Explanation : subject kalimat itu mulai dari kata “the problem ……………………….. sampai kata countries”, jadi yg dibutuhkan sesudah subjek kan verb (kata kerja). Choices diatas ada 3 yg pake kata kerja : A, B,C. nah, disini butuh trik lihat inti dari subjek yg puanjaaang itu, intinya kata sebelum “of” berarti kata “problem”, kan problem nya Cuma satu, berarti yg C “have made” salah, trus yg B “often affect” juga salah. Jadi jawaban yang benar : A “causes”. PS : jangan tertipu dgn kata “countries” yg posisi nya paling dekat dengan verb nya ntar. Itu yg seriiiing menjebak.

Jawaban yg benar A : painting, teaching, lecturing (semua kata benda/aktifitas dengan menggunakan bentukan gerund (v-ing). Oya, gerund itu termasuk kata benda yaa. Contoh : Fishing is my hobby. Fishing itu gerund (kegiatan n kata benda). Contoh lain gerund : Loving you is like breathing the air, can’t be off even in one second. hahahahaha

Clue : anak kalimat yg udah diperpadat

Seperti contoh :

Nah, bisa diperpadat lagi anak kalimatnya, menjadi :

The book written by a famous author is awesome.

Explanation : sesuai penjelasan diatas, ya berarti jawabannya A “issued”. Jadi verb kalimat induknya itu “is called”.

Clue : kerjain sendiri! Hahaha

Explanation : ini disuruh ngisi yg tepat utk anak kalimatnya. Kan induk kalimatnya (yg penting) itu dari kata “the leaves………………….. sampai silkworms” jadi sisanya itu semacam anak kalimat (perluasan informasi sajahh). Nah ada kata “silk fabrics” berarti menandakan possessive (kepunyaan), jadi kepunyaannya si silkworms pastinya. Jawaban yg cucok : from whose cocoons”. Klu diartikan ke Indonesia sebenarnya lebih agak membantu (dalam kasusu ini) hehe

Nah, klu ada bentuk soalnya yg seperti ini TRIKNYA ADALAH LIHAT KATA2 YG GA DIGARISBAWAHAI, BERARTI ITU CLUE (YG BENERNYA)

Explanation : whoever itu hitungnya satu (1) sama juga klu ada kata2 “whomever”, “whichever” “whatsoever” dkk. Klu subjeknya satu berarti salah dong kata “their”, seharusnya “his or her”.

Explanation : nah ada bbrp kata sifat dalam bhs ing yg walau pengucapannya 2 silabel seperti kata “common” tapi dalam bentuk comparative dan superlativenya ga menjadi “commoner” atau “commonest’, rancu jadinya. Jadi digunakanlah “the most common (utk superlative) dan more common than (utk comparative). Dari kata “the most …. sampai treatment” itu adalah subjek di kalimat itu, jadi kan ga perlu lagi ada kata “it”, lgsg aja “is”. Jadi yg salah itu kata “it”

Explanation : pernah nonton movie yg judulnya “Life as We Know” ga??? Nah klu ada kata2 seperti “life as we know” itu ga perlu lg sesudah know ada kata “it” karna biasanya life yg digambarin itu udah adala di sebelum2nya. Dari kalimat itu penggambarannya ada di “the oxygen…. Bla blab la sampai kata support”. Jadi yg salah itu kata “it”

4.      Living in New York, apartments cost more to rent than they do in other, smaller cities.

Explanation : cost itu kan berhubungan dengan uang “money”, nah money kan uncountable “ga bisa dihitung” . logikanya : ada uang nih 5 lembar, msg2 harga seribu. Terus ada uang 2 lembar, msg2 harga 100rb. Yg mana yg dipilih??? Yg 5 lembar atau yg Cuma 2 lembar?? Nah itu kan dinilai berdasarkan nilai uangnya, BUKAN jumlah lembarnya, makanya termasuk uncountable. Jadi apapun yg ditentukan dari segi KUALITAS BUKAN KUANTITAS itu termasuk Uncountable (kt benda yg ga bisa dihitung). Utk uncountable kata2 yg tepat itu ada kata “much” nya. Utk yg countable (kt benda yg bisa dihitung) itu menggunakan kata “many”. Jadi, yg salah ada pada kata “more” seharusnya “much more.

5.      This new model not only saves times but also energy by operating on two batteries instead of four.

Explanation : ada kata “not only …. But also” sesuai yg dijelaskan, harus sama persis bentuk2 kata sesudahnya, kan sesudah not only dikalimat itu diikuti kata kerja “saves” berarti sesudah kata but also harus juga verb dong, ga bisa lgsg aja kata benda “energy”. Jadi jawaban yg salah itu “energy”

Explanation :ka nada kata2 yg ga digarisbawahi diatas yaitu kata “a tornado”. Hitungannya berapa? Satu kan? Berarti yg salah itu kata “have been” seharusnya “has been”. Ya kan? J

Explanation : nah, ini kan, keluar lagi bentukan superlative. Yg salah itu pada kata “the greater””. Kan udah ada kata “the” yg artinya “paling atau ter” berarti “the greatest”, itu jawabannya.

Explanation : nah, ada koma2 kan ya, trus ada kata “or” yg juga adalah Parallel Structure”, berarti semua bentukan kata2nya harus sama : babusitting, working, or driving. Bukan they drive.

Explanation : nah ini tipe kalimat general (pernyataan umum), biasanya dihadirkan ke dalam bentuk simple present tense. Ga ada kata “be taken”. Movie aja judulnya Cuma “ taken 1, taken 2” have you watched?? Hehe seharusnya “is taken” à bentukkan kalimat pasif dia.

10.   The flag is risen in the morning and taken down at night by Boy Scouts.

Explanation : nah ada kata “in the morning” trus ada juga kata “at night”, yg salah itu “at night” karna lagi2 ini Cuma kalimat pernyataan secara umum, jadi untuk menyatakan bendera dinaiikan pagi hari dan diturunkan malam hari ini ya pake “in the morning” and “in the night”. Lagi2 ada kata “and” yg adalah parallel structure. Jadi ya semua kudu sama.
